I believe visual journalism acts as a way to dive deeper, beyond surface level story-telling.
I am a journalist and photographer with my bachelor’s degree in visual journalism from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

Born and raised in the rainy state of Washington, I find myself soaking up every second of sunshine and outdoor adventure during the summer; while my winters are spent indoors, cozied up next to a crackling fire. Though my home-grown love for the outdoors is endless, amidst years of exploration I have found a greater passion in meeting new people and story-telling.

Whether that means serving as a platform for an unheard voice or coming face to face with detrimental issues (on a global or local level). I constantly aim to be curious, understanding and transparent, all while capturing the variety of beauty and hardship life has to offer.
I have photographed, edited or written for the Front, Klipsun and The Planet at Western Washington University. My work currently consists of a combination of publication pieces, freelance photography and writing.

Since graduating in December of 2023, I have been a contracted freelance journalist at Bellingham Alive taking photos and writing monthly editorial pieces. Over the next year I hope to land an opportunity to report, write, film and photograph the thriving community in Bellingham. Above all else, I want to use my degree to connect with people and organizations who are as passionate about storytelling as I am.
